I have reformatted the drive, I accept checked if the songs are protected, the radio recognizes the songs considering I can search through song titles and come across all songs are in that location, but information technology skips most of the songs.... I have tried EVERYTHING you can think of! Could it be the USB? Information technology's an 8 Gb usb 3.0 The songs that exercise work work totally fine and like I said, radio READS the songs names when I look in the folder, but it won't play them... The manual says protected files volition exist skipped, But I looked to see if whatever of the files accept DRM using windows and it says no.

I figured out the trouble if anyone wants to know. All y'all have to do (which I was putting off doing) is convert the songs, doesn't even matter if you convert them to the same format (MP3 or WMA whatever yous car stereo receiver takes) you only need to use a tool like Costless Audio Converter and you lot will be set.

Your radio is playing the mp3 from the usb device. Mabe some of your songs are like m4a or mp4 or some other unsupported format?

I figured out the trouble if anyone wants to know. All yous have to do (which I was putting off doing) is convert the songs, doesn't fifty-fifty matter if you convert them to the same format (MP3 or WMA whatever you motorcar stereo receiver takes) you merely demand to use a tool like Free Audio Converter and you volition be ready.

However doesNOT work! Accept converted from MP3 to WMA dorsum to MP3 however doesNOT work! l% of songs will 50% won't. No deviation in the "Properties" file of any song. Have used every Converter software out. And bought iii of them.. It is pointing to the vehicle device. Toyota sez non their trouble! Which is what they all say anyway. Plays fine on a media actor installed in computer.

I have reformatted the drive, I have checked if the songs are protected, the radio recognizes the songs because I tin search through song titles and encounter all songs are there, but it skips nearly of the songs.... I have tried EVERYTHING you can think of! Could it be the USB? It's an 8 Gb usb 3.0 The songs that do work work totally fine and similar I said, radio READS the songs names when I look in the folder, just information technology won't play them... The manual says protected files will exist skipped, But I looked to run across if whatever of the files have DRM using windows and it says no.

You will non get it to play tracks that are copyrighted. You volition probably find it is skipping whole albums. Even if you have purchased original discs and ripped them using your PC, copyrighted signatures cannot exist bypassed. I wrote to Sony (the makers of my car stereo) asking them what was the betoken of adding a USB port to the unit if in essence information technology was worthless? No answer from them. I take purchased all my music, I have the discs and I can rip and copy them playing them via the CD player. I wanted to accept less discs in my motor but Sony just haven't got that point.
